The Board is recruiting additional independent trustees with backgrounds in consumer finance, legal aid, aging services, and nonprofit finance, and is seating a volunteer advisory council. If you are interested, write to [email protected].
How we govern

Policies and controls

Board oversight

The Board meets at least quarterly. Financial commitments require unanimous trustee consent. A majority-independent voting board is an early deliverable.

Conflict of interest

A written conflict-of-interest policy, recusal process, and annual disclosure govern all related-party matters. The policy is posted on the Transparency page.

Financial controls

Segregation of duties between the Managing Director and Secretary, dual approval for disbursements above $5,000, restricted-fund accounting, and an independent annual financial audit.

Program integrity

All published materials are reviewed by counsel before use. The tool, curriculum, and letter library are owned by the Foundation and released under an open license.
